What are the Uses of Emilite?
Emilite is an anti-parasitic topical cream used to treat scabies and head lice.
How do I Use Emilite?
For use as scabies treatment, Emilite should be applied to clean, dry skin. Rub the medication over the entire body and do not rince for 8 to 14 hours. The topical cream may not be used on open wounds. To treat head lice, apply Emilite on dry hair and let sit for 10 minutes. Use warm water to wash the solution out of the hair and rinse thoroughly.
What are the Warnings Associated with Emilite?
Avoid contamination with the eyes, mouth or nose and do not use other topical medications in conjunction with Emilite unless instructed by your doctor. Avoid close contact with others until your infection has cleared and do not share personal belongings like clothing, linens or hair combs.
What if I Miss a Dose of Emilite?
Emilite is generally only applied one time. You must wait one week to apply a second dose if needed.
What are the Possible Side Effects of Using Emilite?Emilite can cause burning, numbness, swelling, rashes and other symptoms of irritation. Seek medical attention if you experience any of these symptoms.
How Should I Store Emilite?
Store your medication between 59 and 77 degrees Fahrenheit and keep away from children, pets, heat and moisture.
What are the Symptoms of Emilite Overdose?
Symptoms of an overdose have not been documented, but if you think you have applied too much Emilite or have ingested the cream, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
