Drug Uses
Doctors prescribe Vermox for the treatment of threadworms and similar worm infections.
Dosage Instructions
Vermox must be taken orally. Follow the instructions your doctor provides regarding how much medication you should take. Continue taking Vermox for as long as your doctor recommends. Be sure to carefully read the medication label and follow proper dosing instructions.
Warning Statement
Vermox should not be taken by children under the age of 2. Patients should not take Vermox while pregnant without first consulting their doctor. Patients should not take Vermox while breastfeeding as the drug has been found in breast milk.
Missed or Skipped Doses
Should you happen to forget to take a regularly scheduled dose of Vermox, take the dose as soon as possible. However, if it is close to the time for your next dose to be taken, take the medication at that time. Simply skip the dose you missed. Do not try to make up for it by taking more than one dose at a time.
Potential Side Effects
Some patients experience minor side effects such as a slight stomach ache or diarrhea. Other possible allergic reactions might include itching, rash or shortness of breath.
Storage
Be sure to keep Vermox out of reach of children. The drug should not be stored at temperatures above 25°C. Keep out of bright or direct sunlight. The expiration date is printed on the packets and carton. This medication should not be used after it has expired.
Overdose Precautions
Contact a poison control center or emergency room if you or someone else takes an excessive amount of Vermox.

Patients do not need to avoid any particular foods or beverages while taking Vermox.
