Warning about Imitrex:
Do not take Imitrex if you have an allergy to any ingredients in the medication, you have Raynaud Syndrome, you’ve ever had a stroke, you’ve ever had a heart attack or have heart disease, you have uncontrolled high blood pressure, you have transient ischemic attacks or you have peripheral vascular disease. Smoking will increase your risk for complications, so discuss smoking with a doctor before taking Imitrex.
Women who are pregnant should discuss their pregnancy with a doctor before taking Imitrex.
Overdosing:
If you suspect that you’ve taken too much Imitrex, seek medical attention immediately.
Interactions:
Imitrex does interact with some medications such as ergotamine or MAO inhibitors like linezolid or phenelzine. Discuss any potential medication interactions with a doctor before taking Imitrex.
