Uses of Zanaflex
A muscle relaxant, Zanaflex is used most often to relieve spasms and muscle-related problems caused by conditions such as sclerosis or spinal injury; however, it is also prescribed for other uses at times. Zanaflex works by relaxing certain muscles in the body.
How Zanaflex is Taken
Zanaflex comes in tablet form and is usually taken two to three times a day by mouth. Zanaflex should be taken exactly as directed by your doctor and written on the prescription label. Zanaflex Warnings

Missed Zanaflex Dose
For those who take more than one dose of Zanaflex a day, it may be possible to forget or skip a dose. If you do this, take the skipped dose as soon as your remember and then take remaining doses at evenly spaced intervals for the remainder of the day. If it is almost time for your next scheduled dose when you realize that you missed one, completely skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosage. Never double dose.
Side Effects of Zanaflex
Some side effects of Zanaflex have been known to occur. If dizziness, upset stomach, tingling sensations, vomiting, dry mouth, or increased muscle spasms are severe or do not go away, talk to your doctor. Talk to a doctor immediately if you experience side effects that include flu-like symptoms, or yellowing of the skin or eyes.
How to Store Zanaflex
Zanaflex should be stored in its original container with the lid tightly closed. It should be kept out of the reach of children, and away from excessive heat and moisture. Zanaflex should be kept at room temperature. Any unused or outdated medicine should be thrown away; for disposal suggestions, talk to your pharmacist.
Zanaflex Overdose
Symptoms of a Zanaflex overdose include unconsciousness and irregular breathing, but are not well known. Seek medical attention immediately if you have taken too much Zanaflex or believe you are suffering from an overdose.
