Uses
Cleocin-T gel treats the skin disease acne vulgaris.
How to Take Cleocin-T Gel
Rub on a thin layer of Cleocin-T Topical Solution or use Cleocin-T Topical Solution pledgets in order to apply Cleocin-T twice a day to affected areas. Use more than one pledget for each application, if necessary. Discard each pledget after use.
Precautionary Measures
The danger of passing clindamycin into human milk after using Cleocin-T is uncertain. When administered orally or parenterally, though, clindamycin has appeared in breast milk.
If You Miss a DoseTake a missed dose as soon as you remember having missed it. However, if you are near the time for the next dose, simply skip the missed dose and maintain your dosing schedule. Do not double dose under any circumstances.
Potential Side Effects
When administered orally and parenterally, Cleocin-T is associated with the onset of severe colitis which may end fatally. People have reported digestive problems and other abdominal disturbances along with gram-negative folliculitis in association with topical use of clindamycin.
Storage of Cleocin-T Gel
Keep all liquid doses out of the reach of children and in tightly closed containers. Discard each pledget after a single use. Do not use a pledget if its seal is broken.
Overdose
Systemic effects can occur when sufficient amounts of topically applied Celocin-T are absorbed. If you suspect an overdose, seek emergency medical assistance.
Additional Information
If you take neuromuscular blocking agents while using Cleocin-T, use caution.
