Drug Uses
Kenalog Aerosol is used for treating mouth ulcers.
How Taken
A small amount should be applied to the ulcer at bedtime. It can be applied during other parts of the day as well, but so that the medication will take full effect, bedtime is the preferred time of day to apply Kenalog Aerosol. It can also be applied to the area two or three times a day but not more than four times in 24 hours.
Warnings/Precautions
You should not eat or drink immediately after using Kenalog Aerosol. If you are pregnant or thinking of getting pregnant, then you should discuss using Kenalog with your doctor.
Missed Dose
Apply the missed dose as soon as you remember. This medication can be taken at any time of day up to four times.
Possible Side Effects
Side effects can occur after a prolonged period of use. The medication can be absorbed into the skin and can be harmful to children, infants or people with false teeth. If you feel any irritation or unusual symptoms, then you should contact your doctor as soon as possible to discuss them.
Storage
Make sure that the cap is tightly closed and kept out of the reach of children. Kenalog Aerosol should not be stored on a radiator or window sill or in the bathroom. It should also be stored below 30 degrees Celsius.
Overdose
If you or someone you know has experienced an overdose from Kenalog, then you should contact emergency medical attention as soon as possible.
More Information
Kenalog Aerosol should not be used for more than five days. If your mouth ulcer has not gone away, then you should see your doctor or dentist to discuss further treatment.
