Protopic is an ointment medication that is used to treat eczema. Its generic name is tacrolimus, and was originally developed to help reduce negative reactions in patients having undergone an organ transplant. As a topical cream, Protopic is effective in reducing symptoms of eczema in adults and teenagers.
